Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong focus on safety and quality. As a Structural Welder, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing metal structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. Your expertise in various welding techniques and tools will be essential in delivering high-quality workmanship on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and structural steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to ASME codes & standards.
• Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and equipment as needed.
• Execute pipe threading, ductwork installation, and other mechanical tasks as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on welding and fabrication.
• Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other machining tools.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and angles.
• Familiarity with rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
