Job Description:

This role involves installation and restoration work for our client’s electrical systems. Key deliverables include communicating with clients and the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve issues related to electric systems. You need to be comfortable performing these and related undertakings with minimal supervision. You need to be a critical thinker and comfortable mentoring apprentices on the team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized, persistent, and comfortable in front of a variety of leadership levels.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, HVAC equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints
• Install and repair control and distribution apparatus
• Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electric apparatus
• Carrying standard equipment and parts with you always
• Communicating between locations at which you work
• Performing inspections, conducting assessments, and liaising with clients to ascertain the issues that warrant attention
• Choosing the best course of action considering project constraints
• Monitoring inventory
• Logging time, resources spent on each task to calculate costs
• Ensuring adherence with all safety regulations
• Provides professional and friendly service

Required Skills

• Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of motors and controls
• Knowledge of electric codes
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to perform math calculations
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Observant and thorough
• Physically fit
• Desire to grow past current job position

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of relevant apprenticeship program
• Must possess current driver’s license and maintain satisfactory driving record
• Valid permits and certifications
• Residential Experience Preferred
• Must submit to and successfully pass background checks including drug, credit, and criminal history
