On North Tower 6, we are a very fast-paced unit with a variety of patient populations. The teamwork on this unit is some of the best, so you will never face a challenge alone. Chest pain, CHF, AMS/Weakness, Stoke/TIA, Post-op/Post procedure, GI infections, COPD, Pneumonia, UTI, Pain Control, Falls IV Start, Foley Insertion & Maintenance, Central Lines (blood draws, dressing changes), Simple and Complex wound dressing changes, Diabetes and CHF Management, Blood Transfusions, Designated Stroke Unit
Sign On Bonus $10,000 (3yr Commitment)

License/Certifications: RN License upon hire. Nursing Diploma
Other Knowledge/Skills: RN 1yr

Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team. Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards and that is based on patient and family needs. Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation. Communicates with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues. Assess IV sites every 4 hours. Start new IVs per Carle policy Must maintain documentation standards as evidenced by passed quarterly chart audits Must attend 5 out 6 staff meetings per year Identify change in patient status and respond appropriately
