Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A registered nurse with expertise in operating room care is needed to support a dynamic surgical team. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to care for patients undergoing ortho, neuro, plastics, ENT, and robotic procedures, requiring adaptability and clinical proficiency. Experience with EPIC electronic health records is highly preferred to streamline documentation and enhance patient care. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. * Manage complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families with sensitivity and professionalism. * Administer medications and treatments following established protocols; monitor for effectiveness and side effects. * Maintain meticulous patient documentation including history, symptoms, and care provided. * Assess patient and family learning needs, providing education and resources to promote optimal outcomes. * Delegate and assign tasks appropriately to assist clinical team members. * Demonstrate leadership qualities aligned with established competencies for self and others. Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. * Minimum of 1 year experience in operating room nursing or related specialty. * Active RN license in Texas or compact state. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA required. * Proficiency with EPIC system highly desired. Schedule: * 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, full-time.
