Core Responsibilities As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care in a high-acuity environment, managing multiple patients simultaneously while maintaining exceptional standards of care. Your primary responsibilities include performing comprehensive patient assessments, establishing and maintaining intravenous lines, administering medications and treatments per physician orders, and monitoring vital signs and patient responses to interventions. You will triage patients, prioritize care based on acuity levels, and collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
You will document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facility protocols. You should demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to remain calm and focused under pressure. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move patients safely, and perform repetitive motions. You must be comfortable working evening and night shifts (19:00-07:30) within a 3-day, 12-hour schedule structure.
